Families Are Nations (FAN) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization established under the Laws of Zambia to provide community based family building activities through the application of the family unit as a major agent of behavior change, care, support and national development.
The organization was Officially Launched on 21st December 2011 in recognition of the vital role of strong family structures in national development and wellbeing.
Families Are Nations is a female led organization governed by an Advisory Board of Directors consisting of individuals from different walks of life and high social standing in society.
The FAN Secretariat implements the day to day activities of the organization under the leadership of the President and Country Director who is supported by a team of professional and non -professional staff.

➤ To effectively play the role of watchdog institution in strengthening family structures, promote unity, hard work and stability through various family empowerment activities such as Cobblestone Technology, Agriculture and other related initiatives.
➤ To promote constructive debate and dialogue amongst families and other actors on the situation of families to promote family based development and wellness;
➤ To develop sustainable partnerships, networking and linkages for the purposes of joint action and information sharing among various actors and stakeholders;
➤ To effectively build the capacity of FAN as an organization to respond effectively to challenges being faced by families, vulnerable and minor groups in the community
